The
three roses in our logo are taken from the painting of the Bramble
Rose (rosa multiflora carnea) in Les Roses by Pierre-Joseph
Redouté.
Roses are often used in a symbolic or associative fashion. Pink
roses stand for elegance, gracefulness, refinement, gentility,
style and poetic romance but are combined with fun and lightheartedness.
It is the rose of sweet thoughts and thank you. Pink roses also signify
gratitude, sympathy and appreciation. Dark pink stands for thank you,
appreciation and gratitude. Light pink roses convey admiration, sympathy,
gentleness, grace, gladness, joy, friendship and sweetness. The combination
of red roses and pink roses stands for strong romance and passion.
Roses are associated with Mary, Our Lady, the Mystical
Rose (or Rosa Mystica) and St.
Thérèse, the Little Flower, of Lisieux, France.
"Some curse God for putting thorns on roses, while others
praise Him for putting roses among thorns." ~ Anonymous
"God, help me to be grateful for the 'thorny' lessons and find
the blessing of the Rose in every day."
